Sing, Move, and Play! 唱, 動, 玩!(Age 3~6), MC001- These fun, active, and engaging classes teach the elements of music—melody, harmony, rhythm, timbre, form, and expressive qualities—through singing, movement, listening, performing, composing, improvising, and reading music. Each class combines several of these activities using the music methodology of Orff, Kodaly, and Dalcroze. Curriculum

Children’s Musical Theater Class, MC0X2 & MC0X3 - Does your child enjoy singing, dancing, and acting? Taiwan School Children's Musical Theater Class provides a fun environment for kids to learn to appreciate the arts. All kids in the production receive instruction on singing, dancing and acting. Children will participate in a musical production for family and friends. This class will be a blast for your kids!
Piano Private Lesson , #MPPYX- 鋼琴個別課This class offers private piano lessons for students of all levels and ages. Specialized one-on-one instruction includes
music reading, theory, technique, ear training, sightreading, and performance.
Children and adults are welcome to join this fun and rewarding experience!
Beginning Group Keyboard, #MK201 & #MK102 -This is a beginning group keyboard class taught in a group setting. Each student is provided a keyboard in class. In class, students will be learning the piano playing posture and hand position, keyboard geography, rhythm, music note reading, and to play as an ensemble. This is a great opportunity to try the piano in a fun setting!
Beginning Group Guitar, #MG0X2-This class teaches basic guitar skills in a group setting. Students need to bring their own guitar.
Arts
Chinese Chess, #AC0Y1- Chinese Chess is a fun two-player strategic board game. Basic rules and strategies are taught during the workshops. There is an organized competition at the end of the school year.
Kid’s Art (Kindergarten through 3rd grade), #AA002-Students will learn about art and explore various mediums with drawing and painting. Instructor: 尤燕玉(Judy Chiu)女士, 國立師範大學藝術系畢業，曾任De Anza College藝術系教授。教學40年，桃李滿天下。舉辦過多次個人畫展。
Character (anime) Design, Line-Art & Illustration (4th grade to Adult), #AA3X2-Have you ever wonder what it is like to be an anime/cartoon character?
During the course through out the year, we'll study various drawn
characters that we have seen in the media, whether it's print work or TV/movie
series, and discuss how they were drawn; we'll concentrate on shapening one's
line-art drawing skills, draw ur favorite/existing characters and gradually move
onto developing your very own characters along with a background story with
scenes for our line-art illustrations!
We may move into color for the illustrations using computer or paint or
other methods pending on the progress and need of the class. Don't worry
about not knowing how, that's what this class is all about! It will be
challenging for the ones who love to draw plus it will be a lot of fun!
Design Art (3rd -6th Grade), #AA0X3- Students are introduced to art and design with the space to express themselves and explore art-making through drawing, painting, and sculpting. In class, students will learn about basic color theory, simple perspectives, and other interesting art topics.
Computer Graphics/Design, #AP034 & #AP041 -This class is an introduction to computer graphics using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. In addition to learning art and design fundamentals, students will learn how to make their own personalized photo greeting cards and other creative projects.
Folk Arts 民俗藝術
Folk Arts, #AF0X2 & #AF0X3 - Folk arts covered in the Taiwan School curriculum include Kicking the Shuttlecock，Jumping Rope，Decorative Lanterns，Chinese Knotting，Bean Pouches，Chinese Calligraphy, Tops，Pull-Bells (Chinese Yo-Yo), and more. These art forms are colorful, diverse, and fun. Students will learn the origin of these art forms, make these crafts, and play these games. 我們將在課程中了解這些藝術，如踢毽子，跳繩，花燈，中國結，沙包，書法，陀螺，扯鈴等的由來、製作及玩法.
